One reason why I take photos: I’m an incredibly forgetful person.
Proof: My hard drives were at the UT office.
I took them there before I left, just in case. I’m embarrassed to be so forgetful, but beyond grateful that I had the forethought to bring them to work. Objects can be replaced, but it was very hard to swallow the thought that 10 years worth of moments were gone. It put a lot of things into perspective though. I very quickly accessed what I missed most, and that any future photos would need to be more public… since the only images I had were what I shared. It also was a month spent thinking about the whole of what I’ve already taken, so future images can expand on it. Reflection is a valuable tool for growth, which seems to be the name of the game lately… luckily now with a few less pains.
